I highly recommend the SUMO scoop. While my family wanted to get an ice cream scoop with a trigger, I went for the original SUMO scoop. Wow, it is great and scoops no matter how hard the ice cream is. There was some contention in scooping and not having a good sphere of ice cream, but I learned that if you twist the scoop while scooping, it will roll into a ball. These work perfectly for ice cream cones and bowls. I like the weight to the scoop and its balance and has a good grip that is not hard plastic.

Many times ice cream scoops are hard to cut through hard ice cream but this one does the trick! Definitely recommended!

I am very pleased with my new SUMO ice cream scoop. It has a hefty, sturdy but comfortable handle. Digs into ice cream very well!
