This scoop is very well-made. It's heavy, evenly weighted/balanced & is perfectly formed for a good grip. Definitely worth the price!

We've bend our fair share of spoons every year trying to scoop the ice cream out of the container. We've even gotten into the habit of putting the ice cream carton in the microwave for a few seconds so it is soft enough to scoop!
This ice cream scoop is great, it is very solid and able to withstand ice cream that is frozen rock hard! No more bent spoons! The handle has a comfortable, non slip grip which is very nice. The spoon part of this scoop is pointed at the top and a bit lopsided and wonky shaped,...it almost looks as if it had been shaped by hand. The different angles help you dig into the ice cream and get a good scoop going.
I have tried other ice cream scoops,...some have bent, chipped, and flaked so I had to throw them away. Others we have to soften the ice cream up first or you'll hurt your hand. This one is easy to use and even though it's a bit heavier, you can dig right down into the ice cream. Running it under warm water will help if the ice cream is still too hard to work with, which hasn't been the case yet for us.This scoop works great for our family!
*Update 4/30/15 - Since receiving this ice cream scooper it rarely ever sees the inside of a drawer, it seems to live in the dish rack on top of the counter, it is used that much!
