I spent a large amount of time researching ice cream scoops before purchasing the SUMO scoop. I have bought cars with less thought then I put into this scoop and it really paid off because it's nicer than any of those cars were too. It's extremely solid and durable feeling and being able to just toss it in the dishwasher, unlike most aluminum scoops, is fantastic. I really gave it torture test by turning the freezer down and trying it out on some peanut butter cup ice cream. The SUMO scooped through the frozen solid ice cream like a melon baller through an overripe cantaloupe. The pointed tip really lets you get deep in there and get a great scoop to drop into your cone or bowl. I would recommend this to friends and family, but not to my enemies because they don't deserve something this awesome.
