You may think this is expensive for an ice cream scoop but you do get the real deal. It is solid stainless steel, heavy but has a perfectly contoured handle and really will last forever.

This has got to be the best ice cream scoop that we have ever owned. We purchased this to replace a broken spring loaded one and I was a little concerned about how well this would work without the little scoop to remove the ice cream. We had to get over the oddity of no longer having our ice cream being in round balls, but it is so worth it. The scoop cuts through the ice cream perfectly. I wish the bowl was slightly larger to be able to scoop it out a little easier after cutting through, but this is a very minor complaint. This may be our new go to wedding shower gift especially given that it comes so nicely packages in a nice box.
PS. We have washed the scoop several times in the dishwasher and have had no problems whatsoever with any water in the handle.
