This is the best scoop we've had so far. It is very sturdy and I don't worry about it breaking even with the hardest ice cream. The only downfall about it is that when we put it in the dishwasher, it collects water inside the blue grip so it leaks water when you use it afterwards. But as long as we remember not to put it in the dishwasher we don't have that problem. Overall we love it!
Update: The company shipped me a new scoop free of charge since the first one collected water in the dishwasher. It arrived very quickly, and they allowed me to keep the original one too. Very wonderful customer service! Unfortunately the second scoop also collects water in the dishwasher. It's not a huge problem, just kind of a pain to let it drain after a wash. Still love the scoop!

With a drawer full of ice cream scoops that didn't quite make the mark, I've happily met the SUMO, which is, bar none, the best! You can throw your others out!
