works very well
last scoop I had the finish peeled off it was wide with wings so you scooped on sides
this one you scoop strait into ice cream
this one is solid so hopefully it wont peel or chip

Great ice cream scoop. Comfortable in the hand, solid, and heavy. Leading edge slightly pointed to get into the corners of the carton, and slightly sharpened to cut through the ice cream with ease. You can roll up a scoop of any size with this. Super easy to clean, too. This scoop replaced an older OXO of similar design whose handle was removable and got all moldy and nasty inside. I don't see that being a problem with this one.

This is a great scooper and heavy duty! It's small but heavy. Not heavy in a bad way. I like the pointed tip. Haven't had it for long so not sure of the durability yet.
