Easily scoops even even the hardest frozen ice cream or sherbet. When the product is too hard to penetrate with the scoop, I can scrape thin layers off the top and form a ball with this scoop.
The soft handle cover on mine is tightly sealed to the underlying steel, so there is no problem of water getting into my handle as some others have reported experiencing.
I have a collection of ice cream scoops accumulated over the years, but this one is now my first choice, "go to" scoop.
