“I bought it to put my ice cream in when i make homemade ice cream. it fits nice in the door of my freezer. I should have bought two though. I didn't realize i'd get so much ice cream out of such a little cream and milk. The only thing is that it is so well insulated that i have to keep the lid off for about an hour until it freezes well enough to cover or it does not get firm. I had to cover it with wrap until it freezes then put on the lid.“

Not my favorite

These aren't my favorite for storing ice cream. I find them clunky and hard to get all the ice cream out. There is no difference in hardness in this and regular round container. Since they are the perfect size for 1.5 quarts, I actually use them to get my base cold in the refrigerator. The base pours right out of it and into the machine. I will use my silicone round containers for the ice cream in the freezer.

Inconsistent Build Quality, Great Customer Service.

The media could not be loaded.

The containers that are built-as intended have a solid seal.

I can tell the containers are made of good quality for the prices they are charging.

However; I now understand where some of the negative reviews are coming from.

I purchased 4 units, and 2/4 of my units appears to have a defective plastic lid, this results in bad seal which makes the whole unit rather pointless.

Fortunately, upon contacting SUMO about the problem.

The customer service responded immediately, informing me that they have forwarded the video further to their design/development team.

The SUMO Support team told me that it would appear I have received units with a slight “manufacturing defect”.

They sent out replacement containers with expedited shipping, within 24 hours of my email.

I have nothing negative to say about this brand.

While I would have preferred not having any manufacturing defects at all, I can understand how some of these went through the quality testing as the lids look completely identical.

Soft and creamy ice cream!

I didn't think the insulated part would make such a big difference, but it did! My ice cream stays soft and creamy, easy to scoop. What's not to love?! You get 2 tubs, each can hold up to 1.5 qt. I used to have to use more than 1 container for my 1 batch of homemade ice cream, now I only need 1 of these! Another thing I like is the non-skid bottom. It's so nice that the container stays put when I scoop out my ice cream. And these are stackable as well! Love these so much I also just ordered their ice cream scoop today.

Keeps ice cream frozen

My husband and I used these for homemade ice cream at our wedding. We lined these up in a custom cooler. We actually had to keep the top off the cooler and lids off the containers for a while before serving so the ice cream wasn’t rock hard. We now use one to store frozen bananas. They do take up quite a bit of space in the freezer, but work really well.
