This is an amazing ice cream scoop. All the other ones we have ever bought, my husband somehow broke them. Since this is a solid piece, there is no chance of that!

Read several reviews before selecting this scoop. Agree with other buyers that it is solid, has a user friendly handle and works well.
I did not dip it in hot water before using, and it cut through fairly hard ice cream with minimum resistance. Yes, it is dishwasher safe.
Comes in an attractive box which would make it very suitable for a gift. I recommend this product.

This is an absolutely wonderful ice cream scoop. I've been looking for a nice ice cream scoop for a while to make my ice cream addiction a little easier on my arms and this ice cream scoop has been amazing! It's got some definite weight to it compared to other ice cream scoops which makes it so you don't have to use as much force to scoop even the hardest of ice creams. The handle is great to grip and its rubbery so it doesn't get freezing cold while scooping ice cream. The spoon itself is shaped well and actually a little sharp (not enough that it would cause an injury but it's definitely pointier than a regular spoon) so it easily digs into your creamy ice cream. It's not hard to get your ice cream the scoop either which is really nice, the sides are somewhat narrow so I can usually just turn it into my bowl and it slides off easy. I think this would be an excellent gift for any ice cream lover like myself!

I admit I am an ice cream/gelato addict & I LOVE this scoop. I had a Good Grips scoop & the silver coating was wearing off - yuck. This one sounded like it was much higher quality so I gave it a try. I'm so glad I did. It is heavy & it just feels high-quality. It's also very comfortable to hold. Since it's solid stainless steal there's no way I'll have a coating issue like I had with the Good Grips. This scoop even comes in a heavy black box which somehow manages to give an ice cream scoop a swanky feel! SUMO clearly put a lot of thought into the packaging & offers a fantastic scoop. I highly recommend this product & have to say that any TRUE ice cream/gelato aficionado deserves a scoop like this! :-)
