Comfortable, makes nice ice cream ball shape, works well on really hard ice cream... but... the silicone handle starts to wear away when left in a hot dipper well unlike a handle made or coated with something else. Used this in a restaurant setting... recommend for home use only.

Maybe my scooping technique needs some work, but I find that it's inadequate for ice cream straight out of the freezer. Despite the nicely padded handle, it hurts my wrist trying to scoop cold (and I'm not one with particularly wimpy wrists). Letting the ice cream thaw for a few minutes seems to help -- decently round scoops, and the "pointy" end is convenient for getting ice cream out of the bottom of a pint. But what's the point of a "no-thaw" scoop if I have to let the ice cream thaw?
