I don't think I will ever buy a different brand of ice cream scoop. I bought this as a gift for my mother in law who just loves ice cream, but she was using a big flimsy spoon. I bought this for her, in purple(her favorite color), and she LOVES IT. The sharp point cuts through the ice cream like a hot knife through butter, its heavy duty...but its dishwasher safe which is amazing! It's also easy enough to clean by hand.
