This scoop is AMAZING for scooping rock-hard ice cream. Instead of the ice cream shooting across the kitchen floor, this scoop cuts through the ice cream with relative ease, almost like going through butter. I love this scoop and I would buy it again!

Has a nice heft to it. The edge feels "sharp" making it easy to cut into the ice cream and scoop. Overall excellent. Only slight complaint is that it is a tad heavy and the grip is perfectly comfortable and functional, but doesn't quite feel like it fits like a glove.

I love this ice cream scooper. I just happened to misplace my old one that I bought at Target. Figured I would just go on Amazon to purchase another one really quick. This new Sumo one is so much better! It’s a better quality, heavier in a good way, and it just cuts through ice cream like butter. I wish I had lost my old ice cream scooper sooner!!! LOL

It's sturdy, not likely to bend at the neck like previous scoops we've gotten locally at the store, hefty in the hand, comfortable to grip, and seems to be just the right curvature to convince ice cream to curl obediently when very little pressure is applied.
