This is a really solid ice cream scoop. You can tell it's a solid piece of metal. It is thick and doesn't bend when trying to scoop hard ice cream. It reminds me of the old school one piece metal scoop that my grandparents had. It's shaped in a way the cuts through stuff that's fairly frozen too. I'm happy overall.
