This scoop is heavier than most scoops I've used but it feels solid so I'm not worrying about putting some muscle into it. My last scoop was from a store and snapped in 2 after 8 years. The sumo seems like it'll last longer and it also cuts through ice cream pretty well. It was a good upgrade that I didn't know i needed.

I have to say that this scoop cuts through the hardest ice cream with ease. I believe it is because of the weight and shape of the scoop itself. This is truly a keeper and if you have issues with your ice cream freezing rock hard on occasion this is the scoop that doesn't leave your hands in pain. Perfect!!

High quality - I love that it’s not that cheap plated chrome that bubbles over time / if you put it in the dishwasher. The weight of this is nice too. Overall very happy with this purchase
