This is the most rock-solid ice cream scoop I've ever used. After using this, I can't go back to using a different one. It carves through solid ice cream like a knife through butter. I had fairly high expectations based on other reviews, but this managed to surpass them. This ice cream scoop is heavy. Make sure to avoid dropping it on toes, because that will most definitely hurt. The weight definitely helps when scooping out the ice cream.
Washing it was a breeze as well. There is no gap between the silicon and the stainless steel, so it washes really easily. I chose the blue scoop, and I don't regret it one bit. It's a fun bit of color to add to the kitchen.
I didn't think I'd have a 'favorite' ice cream scoop, but here I am, with a favorite.

I bought this for my husband and he loves it! He said it is solid and makes scooping so easy. We are very excited about the lifetime warranty as our other scoopers got pitted when put in the dishwasher. Very excited to find this!

I found that the top of the rubber handle was not sealed completely around the neck of the scoop - thus trapping water and making it impossible to fully dry. The scoop works very well for its use - it scooped out hard ice cream very easily and even more easy after running it under hot water which was exactly what I was looking for. However, I believe I either got a defective scoop or there is a flaw in the manufacturing because one of the first things I noticed with the scoop when I opened up the box was that there was an area at the neck of the scoop where the rubber meets the steel that was not fully sealed. While it is not a problem now, I do not want to be using a scoop with food that can potentially grow mold or leak old water out of the handle.
