The scoop works great at getting through even tough ice cream, but even with the curve, it is difficult to really make traditional scoops for cones. I would definitely recommend it though.

My old scoop was functional, but ugly to look at. As a "Grammy" I am in the down-sizing mode and it took a lot of convincing that I really should have a nicer looking scoop. Even old people delight in something new now and then!! And this scoop gives me pleasure indeed. It works like a charm and it is a beauty to look at. My brain tells me it was a foolish, expensive purchase, but my heart tells me that I should not feel guilty. I deserve a day brightener occasionally!
