Very high quality, but harder to scoop ice cream with than I expected. I also own the [Wilton Ice Cream Scoop 2104-1014], which I vastly prefer. Compared to the Wilton, this one is a lot harder to dig into hard ice cream with. This one creates fairly small balls of ice cream compared to other scoops I've used. If I didn't know about the Wilton, I'd definitely recommend this one for being better than similar scoops I've used, and for being made of high quality materials.
Edit:
To be fair, I want to explain why I prefer the Wilton scoop. The Wilton scoop is a different type of scoop--it has a wide, curved wedge which you can stab into the ice cream--thus the ice cream will come out in chunks. In contrast, the SUMO is a traditional design where you can scrape into the ice cream to create a nicely rolled up ball. I can easily see how some people would prefer to have the traditional balled ice cream rather than random sloppy chunks. As far as a traditional scoop goes, I think the SUMO is quite good. I just prefer the other design because the wedge makes it easier to dig with, and I don't really care whether the ice cream is in a neat ball or a chunk.

Heavy and sturdy. Looks to be well worth the money and should be excellent for the task at hand.
