Had a couple other scoops that chipped flakes of metal over time. Not a huge fan of eating metal. We like other toppings. Found this scoop. It's heavy and solid. Got a strong hunch it will outlast me.

Amazing heft and quality build. Just a little smaller than I thought but not by much. Makes it easier to get into pint conatainers and the matching, narrow, sumo containers. Like that this is stainless and not some chrime plated metal that quickly pits. Has a nice sharp edge to cut into that really frozen icecream but if you don't wait to soften to reasonable levels (my freezer is set to frreze to cryo-stasis temperatures
