My purchase of a SUMO No-Thaw Hard Ice Cream Scoop has solved an important health issue in my life. Our last scoop must have somehow gotten lost during our last move years ago, so my husband was using a large tablespoon for scooping and I'd use a regular dinner knife. A new health issue for me came up over the last year, and my doctor told me to eat sherbet from then on, not ice cream. I had so much trouble getting sherbet out of those small round plastic containers, though, that I'd bypass it and go straight for the ice cream instead, despite knowing I shouldn't be doing it. I told my husband a week or so ago that I was going to order us a new ice cream scoop, and he told responded that we didn't need one, that we were doing fine the way we were. Truth is that, yes, it was an okay situation for him, but not for me. My husband used the scoop the day it arrived and immediately told me he was glad I'd bought it, that it's the easiest ice cream scoop he's ever used. The most important issue for me, however, is that I no longer reach for the easiest ice cold dessert, the ice cream. My struggle with the sherbet container is finally over. So, as it turns out, my purchase of the SUMO scoop is nothing short of, for me, a home health aid, and I'm very grateful for that!
