Great scoop! I was able to use it tonight and found it worked better then all of the others I own. Yes.... I love ice cream.... and I don't know about you, but the older I get the harder the ice cream is to scoop out!! I am sure that it is just freezing harder then it used to

Excellent ice cream scoop. Works very well, although I disagree with others who say it slides right through cold / hard ice cream. You definitely have to use a bit of muscle or wait for the ice cream to soften if you don't want to / not able to work hard at scooping. It looks pretty and lets go of the ice cream after scooping.
The only scoop I have found that is easier to use than this one, is one by Wilton that is squared in the front. That one is pretty sharp in the front (not like a knife though, you won't cut yourself on it) and lets you push into it instead of pulling, which is nice for people with arthritis or tendonitis. It's just easier to put power on it. But the Wilton one will not shape the ice cream into round scoops, while the SUMO one does. Both have a very nice surface that easily lets go of the ice cream. All I have to do to wash them is to rinse a bit and they come out completely clean. Both scoops are great, the best ones I have seen.
