Bought this for my wife as she's always had to nuke her homemade ice cream to soften it up some. The scoop came with a couple of tiny dings, but she wasn't too concerned about that (will have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get any worse). Aside from that minor imperfection, the scoop has worked great and is definitely heavy duty to handle the hardest cream. The handle's grip feels good in your hand. Highly recommended!

Our old dishwasher safe ice cream scoop started to fall apart so we order this model. It is very well made and strong enough to scoop rock hard ice cream. And you can just put it in the dishwasher with the rest of the day's dishes.
