My only problem with Ice Cream Scoops has been them breaking at the handle. This is the only one I could find which had zero reviews suggesting breakage. I even used it as an ice pick :).... This one is going to last, I can feel it.

We had to scoop very hard ice cream for 200+ kids and this scoop performed very well. It made the job super easy!

In my family dessert means ice cream so scoops are very important. This scoop came packed in a lovely little box like it was a treasure and it is. Looks great and works great. We have been thru many scoops and this one takes the cake!!!

So I ordered both the SUMO scoop and the SUMO container as gifts. I didn’t realize it, but after my friend raved about it, I figured I needed to get a set for myself.
First thing you’ll notice when you get the scoop is its heavy. When I first picke dup the box, my initial thought was that the package made up the bulk of the weight. I sure was wrong--this certainly isn’t your run of the mill scoop. It feels incredibly substantial in your hands and you can definitely use that extra weight to cut through frozen ice scream. No need to wait for it to thaw. It really does work as advertised. It won’t bend or break when trying to break through rock hard frozen ice scream so it’s definitely worth wielding the extra weight.
While pricey, the way I look at it is it’s a solid investment. I probably won’t need another one for 10 years, and so when viewed in that light, this is a great value. Definitely buy it.
