The scoop seems to be well made & sturdy. But it performed as well as my $4.00 Kitchen-aid scoop from Ross's. I liked the boxing, but scooping frozen ice cream required as much effort as the Kitchen-aid. I was disappointed based on the reviews that I had read. I ordered a Fruzen scoop & just got it. I will be testing this one out, hoping that this works better. All three designs look similar, but the Fruzen looks like it should function more efficiently.

Finally! A great scoop that won't peel, rust or wear out! Excellent product! Nice handle for a great grip into hard ice cream.
