We ordered this in December as a gift for my husband. He frequently complained about the ice cream being too hard in our freezer (I do not want to adjust the temperature though). When we gave him this, he used it right away and it cut right through the ice cream without much effort on his part. He raves about it to family and friends! LOVE IT!!
