My husband is the ice cream lover in the house and I bought this for him. We have tried several ice cream scoops and the last one quickly started to pit. He hated using it. I started looking for a stainless steel scoop that would not pit or crack and was ergonomically designed. When it came in the mail I surprised my husband with this "gift" and he was immediately thrilled. It works wonderfully for that extra hard ice cream with no strain on your hand while scooping. The blade glides smoothly through the ice cream like hot knife through butter. So glad I found this.
