This ice cream scoop arrived last night and I immediately tried it out and it sliced right though the ice cream right out of the freezer. I was not able to make a rounded scoop but I am sure with practice and patience I could. Loved it and loved that it is dishwasher safe. Multiple people help in my kitchen and not all of them would know not to put it in the dishwasher if it had to be hand washed. Overall a great ice cream scoop.

This product is not blowing smoke up your ice cream cone. I was skeptical that it can actually slice through hard frozen ice cream then glide it into your bowl but the design looked pretty so I ordered the purple one. It not only worked as claimed, but I threw out all my other ice cream scoop. No more putting the ice cream on the counter to soften first. No more dunking the scoop in hot progressively murky water. Once I was so desperate for the ice cream to soften quickly that I zapped the container in the microwave for a few seconds (which is an insult to both me and the ice cream). Now getting a nice little bowl of ice cream is no longer "a production". I'm not saying this is the best ice cream scoop ever, but it is the best ice cream scoop ever.
