I bought one scoop to test. It is so good that I bought another one in case the first one is in the dishwasher. This scoop is made of solid stainless steel. Unlike the scoops available from Safeway or Giant, which are made of plated zinc or some other metal and where the plating eventually peels off, there is no plating to peel off on the SUMO scoop. The SUMO scoop is also ergonomically shaped. All I need to do is exert force mostly straight down. With the Safeway or Giant scoops, I have to exert force mostly sideways because they are shaped like soup ladles. The movement hurts my wrist. Needless to say, old Safeway or Giant scoops are now gone from my household.
