I bought this scoop to replace a scoop I had that fell apart after only a couple years of use. This ice cream scoop feels very solid in your hands and doesn't feel like it's going to break no matter how firm the ice cream is. I've had it for almost 2 years now with no sign of wear.

I e bought many ice cream scoops that have died in quick succession. This one actually feels strong and like it will last. The grip is wonderful.
I make my own gelato and bought the Sumo Tubs which I absolutely loved! That encouraged me to get the scoop and I am so glad I did!

My children were pleasantly surprised that this ice cream scoop cut right through the ice cream when it was frozen solid. The ice cream does fall off this scoop easily, so one does need to be prepared to plop it in the bowl. However, who can complain? It's awesome!!! The scoop is quite heavy and does exactly what is claimed. Best scoop we have ever owned as far as performance.
