I'm a relative newbie to home-made ice cream, but I do have a little experience. These containers work great for the final freezing and for keeping the ice cream very fresh! I'm not sure if I managed to stumble onto a really good "fail-proof" recipe this time or if it was my new SUMO containers, but I had no problem with icing or melting. Being kept solidly frozen in these containers, the ice cream maintained excellent quality until it was all gone more than a week after I made it. I'm very pleased and will definitely make more ice cream with more confidence!
