We store our ice cream in a deep chest freezer, which hardens them significantly. We've used many other types of scoopers, which either bend or don't cut into the ice cream. The last scoop I had ended up all pitted, hoping over time this one holds up better. It's a nice solid weight and the slighty "pointed" scoop makes it easier to dig out the ice cream. The color is nice and the handle is comfortable to hold.

It was very easy to scoop ice cream. I didn't have to wait for the ice cream to soften. Love the purple color!
