“I bought it to put my ice cream in when i make homemade ice cream. it fits nice in the door of my freezer. I should have bought two though. I didn't realize i'd get so much ice cream out of such a little cream and milk. The only thing is that it is so well insulated that i have to keep the lid off for about an hour until it freezes well enough to cover or it does not get firm. I had to cover it with wrap until it freezes then put on the lid.“

Two may not be enough.

I belong to a service club that has a mid-summer barbecue. Dessert features dozens of homemade cookies and a variety of homemade ice creams. These containers are great for keeping my ice cream frozen throughout the barbecue. The container where you put your ice cream fits into an outer shell which aids in keeping your ice cream from melting as it forms an air gap. The lid seals completely, leaving an air gap as an insulation layer. It helps to put a layer of plastic wrap over your ice cream to keep it from forming ice crystals and getting too hard to scoop. The shape of the container is longer than it is wide so the young ladies who are recruited to scoop the ice cream find that it is very easy to get a full scoop compared to the circular containers. The ice cream stays frozen throughout the serving period and it is very easy for the servers to serve the ice cream.

BUY THIS!

This is the mother of all ice cream containers! I’m way more impressed and excited than I should be over this. Being a grown up is stupid. But seriously, this is one of those things that you don’t even know that you really need until you have it in hand.

Not as Advertised

I wanted to finally buy an appropriate ice cream container to replace my old one. Although it's easy to clean this product is supposed to keep ice cream fresh, cold with no ice crystals. Well every make of ice cream has ice crystals. Also, it's way too huge and expensive.
