Was using a pyrx with a lip. Definitely prefer this container, insulates well.

Update: A little while after I posted my one-star review, someone from this company reached out telling me I must have gotten a defective product and asking if she could send me new ones. I had my doubts, but she sent me new ones, and the lids snap into place like they're supposed to. (I had used the one with defective lid earlier -- since I had already made a batch of ice cream when I opened it and discovered the lid issue -- so I can already vouch it keeps ice cream nicely. And I like the fit of it in my freezer. Can't wait to put the new one with a new batch soon!

These looked great out of the box. I washed them, made ice cream, and poured the ice cream into these. Then I tried to put the lids on, and discovered they merely rest on top! They don't click into place, they don't close tightly. They just rest on top! Way too expensive a product to have to use cling wrap and foil over it to keep the ice cream fresh. Really disappointed.
I don't know if this was a fluke, but neither lid fits on either of the two containers this came with, so who knows.
