Much better than a spoon for ice cream. No complaints. My old scoop started to corrode, don’t know what it was made of but corrosion flakes is not a good thing to mix in with your ice cream. This is supposed to be stainless steel and it appears to be that as it does not appear to be plated and it has not rusted.

This one is gift worthy - comes in a nice box, but the biggest issue for us was not having an aluminum scoop that couldn't be used in a dish washer. The scoop is weighted so will keep the heat to cleanly scoop ice cream. Fun colors too!
