The ice cream scoop is one of the most used utensils in our house. I’m not ashamed to admit it.
We have been using a scoop from bed bath and beyond. It was a plated scoop that doesn’t have metal running through the handle and with a plastic grip. As it got older, it started to tarnish and the handle would flex and make scooping hard. Eventually it snapped, and there was great sadness in the household.
I did a little research and landed on this one. It’s honestly a game changer. Scooping is much easier, and the finish is holding strong. The handle is much easier to hold. There’s no hard to clean spaces.
I know it’s not normal to feel this way about an ice cream scoop, but I would definitely recommend it.

My husband has been using an old plastic scoop for twenty years. He hates change. He also used to work as a chef, so he’s very flipping picky about his kitchen gear. I bought this as a gift, and this hard to please guy loves it. Every time he has ice cream, he raves about his fancy scoop.

This is a fine scoop. Ergonomic and well made. But it doesn't live up to the hype of "and chiseled tip that slices through even the hardest of ice cream".
Doesn't for mine. Guess my ice cream is frozen harder than theirs.
