This is so much better than any ice cream scoop I’ve used before. Heat it up under the faucet and it cuts through the ice cream great. Good heft, easy on the wrist.

This ice cream scoop replaced one that broke on me. It was one of those scoops with the side trigger, to scrape the ice cream out of the scoop, itself. It had plastic gears......I had never paid that much attention to it, before that. The gears shattered, as I pushed the trigger..........little black pieces of plastic flew all over the kitchen! LOL!!! :-D
So, I was on a mission to find the BEST replacement! I did a ton of research and the SUMO Ice Cream Scoop always ended up at the top of the list.......and now I know why! It has a great weight, without being too heavy. It feels solid in your hand! There's a decent edge, on the scoop, itself, to make scooping a breeze! I would HIGHLY recommend this ice cream scoop! Solid stainless steel construction and a nice handle.

Love the weight of the product (heavy!& sturdy) and like how it slices through hard ice cream without too much effort. So much nicer than any ice cream scoop I have ever used. Highly recommend.
