This is a solid ice cream scoop and it works better than the cheap ones at the grocery store or walmart. But once it gets cold it still has a little trouble. But the heavy weight helps with frozen desserts.

I have ice cream scoops from many makers. Even two commercial scoops. This one is the best!! Cuts the ice cream even when it's very hard. Also, the handle is very comfortably designed. I am a little arthritic in the wrist and this scoop is perfectly balance and causes NO pain when scooping.
