It was important to have an ice cream dipper that would easily cut right into frozen ice cream. I have always used the ice cream scooper that is round with the little handle . It was always a struggle scooping into hard frozen ice cream. The only thing I miss is not having round scoops. I still love this great SUMO ice cream dipper no more struggles!

Very heavy duty with a shape and very substantial handle that allows easy scooping of very solid ice cream. I have only used mine twice but expect it to last forever.

As others mentioned this product arrived with dried glue residue and some other substance on the handle. Despite repeated trips through he dishwasher it won't come off. Not sure if it's even sanitary in this condition.

Well, I stopped thinking how nice a scoop this is, because it just works. Now I'm just taking it for granted that scooping ice cream should be this easy always, never mind how cold or hard it is.
