Just used this scoop for the first time and honestly I love it. I've been using a big metal scoop from the 80s. While I think that baby is pretty much indestructible, having a physical disability, it is extremely hard for me to scoop ice cream without letting it melt. And having to clean up a puddle of water, then practically sip your ice cream through a straw is no fun. I appreciate this scoop having a comfortable grip & it comes in various colors, so you can keep to your color theme. At least for me I was able to scoop my favorite ice cream right out of the gallon tub faster and my hand didn't cramp up, so no need for a break.

As an ice cream addict...err...connoisseur, I am VERY picky about my scoop. I did quite a bit of research and found this one. It is lightweight and the grip comfortable. The design of the scoop makes it easy to dig into the toughest of ice creams—I’m looking at you Ben & Jerry’s—after running it under warm water for a couple of seconds. No more grunting or watching scoops of ice cream flying through the air after Herculean efforts at getting it out of the container. I am buying more of these.

I love ice cream. Like, I have a problem. I've loved ice cream since I was a wee child and I still love it today (okay I'm only 30 but still). I used to have an all metal scooper before this that had sand in it or something that it was supposed to "get warm" while scooping and make scooping easier. Nope. Didn't do anything except exist and was awkward to hold and couldn't scoop for crap. This scooper is the scooper of all scoopers. The handle is so comfortable and easy to grip, and the shape of the scoop makes it easy to cut into ice cream. Get this, you won't regret it!

This ice cream scoop replaces one that I've had for years, and I'm very happy with it. Surprisingly heavy, and it works really well. Very nicely packaged, too. The old one is going directly into the garbage.
