I first bought one of these a few years ago and it makes scooping ice cream sooo much easier that I bring it along to gatherings at others' homes so that I don't resent having to use their basic scoops.
Unfortunately, my family members also really like it, and I'm usually the last one to eat an evening snack, so I often find that the ice cream scoop has dried on ice cream or is in the dirty dishwasher when I go to use it. Training kids and husbandv to hand rinse it wasn't working, so I just bought another to ensure I can always use one of my favorite scoops at night.

I love this scooper. I left one at my other house and had to buy it again it’s so perfect. Best scooper I’ve ever used.

Wow, no kidding! This is hands down the best Ice-cream scoop. A solid piece of stainless steel, the handle has a silicone grip that is comfortable, it also has a good weight to it, and it scoops well straight in as well as with an angled or side scoop (this is handy). Call it a precision scooper!
Is it more expensive than other scoops? Yes it is and let me tell you it is worth it! For a durable precision scooper this appears to be very well made and will be around long after I am gone. I bought this to replace my old scooper that had the cheap chrome/nickel plating which was beginning to flake off. With this scoop this should never be an issue. I really like the weight and balance of the scoop, the perfect amount of both.
My only complaint is that it arrived with what looked like a small bit of rust however it rubbed off easily and was completely gone after washing. So I can’t hold that against the scoop. It was packed well which is more of an added bonus. I would buy it again and just might buy an extra one To have on hand. Nicely done SUMO!
