I couldn't believe how well this scooped! i'm used to a plastic scoop that doesn't dig into hard ice cream and then the ice cream sticks to the scoop! This goes in easy and slides off nice.

this scoop is very heavy and the tip is purposed to do a specific job, i.e. dig that ice cream out of the tub quickly and efficiently. the shovel tip is a blessing to ice cream aficionados.
there was one little flaw as in every great product. there was a tiny burr on the tip where it was finally sharpened or shaped. I took a fingernail file and took it off with no problem at all.
all in all, this scoop is the cat's...meow.

I like that it has a kind of pointed tip to start the scoop. It works very well. I really like that it is dishwasher safe unlike other ice cream scoops. Thumbs up.
