“I bought it to put my ice cream in when i make homemade ice cream. it fits nice in the door of my freezer. I should have bought two though. I didn't realize i'd get so much ice cream out of such a little cream and milk. The only thing is that it is so well insulated that i have to keep the lid off for about an hour until it freezes well enough to cover or it does not get firm. I had to cover it with wrap until it freezes then put on the lid.“

Does it's job

We made our very first batch of ice cream and the recipe we used fits perfectly in this container. We like the idea of making ice cream ahead of time so it can firm up more before we indulge. We chose this particular one for the insulated aspect so the ice cream doesn't freezer burn or crystallize. So far it is working perfectly. The picture is of the first batch fresh out of the ice cream maker. I will be ordering more of these so I can make different flavors to enjoy. We wish the center lid snapped on a little tighter, but has not effected the ice cream thus far. We also love the design as it fits in the door compartment of the freezer well.
Update: Our ice cream turned rock hard even though it was a soft serve type recipe. No doubt the container works, we just need to remember to take it out of the freezer approximately an hour before serving so it softens up.

Perfect!

We love making homemade ice cream, but storage has been a little bit frustrating - the aluminum container from the maker is awkward and uncomfortable to handle. This is a perfect solution! Fits the ice cream perfectly from our 6q maker. The lid fits snugly and is easy to lift off with the little lip. The color is really fun, too!
