This is made with an outer clear plastic layer and an inner colored plastic layer. There is an air cushion between the two layers. After a couple of uses, the outer plastic layer cracked. So, when it has been washed, water has gone inside and in between the two layers of plastic. I now have mildew growing inside those layers and have had to throw the product away.

I bought these for when I make homemade ice cream. One canister will hold a cuisinart ice cream makers worth. I have two ice cream makers and it works perfectly to hold all the ice cream. Scooping out of them is quite nice. I put my canisters in the freezer when I start my ice cream so they are pre-chilled. They stack in the freezer and cabinet quite nicely. Hand washing is quick and easy so thats what I do. Definitely would buy them again.
