“I bought it to put my ice cream in when i make homemade ice cream. it fits nice in the door of my freezer. I should have bought two though. I didn't realize i'd get so much ice cream out of such a little cream and milk. The only thing is that it is so well insulated that i have to keep the lid off for about an hour until it freezes well enough to cover or it does not get firm. I had to cover it with wrap until it freezes then put on the lid.“

It's the little things that take it far.

So I ordered both the SUMO scoop and the SUMO container as gifts. I didn’t realize it, but after my friend raved about it, I figured I needed to get a set for myself.
You would think that you wouldn’t need a special container for ice cream and any standard run of the mill Tupperware container would work. But really, you don’t realize how much you miss out on otherwise. This is actually super convenient. The shape certainly helps for fitting into those odd knooks, especially the door shelves of the freezer. The insulation also helps, although it does take up a bit of the space for the container .When I opened the lid up, I expected there to be a bit more space. That being said, it was a small tradeoff. Three things really stood out to me, though:

1) The inside has curved edges. Scooping ice scream out of corners in the past has always been a real pain. The cured edges eliminate that entirely. Totally worth it—didn’t realize I’ve been doing this wrong the entire time.
2) The lid is really good at staying intact with the insulation. I flipped the container over and held it upside down—no problems. No leakage whatsoever. I’ll probably end up using this for more than just ice scream whenever I’m not storing or making ice scream. Definitely great for liquids in general.
3) The bottom of the container has a rubber lining which helps make sure it doesn't slide around on the counter. It's a small touch that goes a long way, especially when you're trying to put a lot more force into scooping out of the container, and you end up pushing the container around instead. That rubber stops that from happening here. Really solid product foresight.
