I was a little dubious about the shape of this, and as it turns out I have an odd refrigerator freezer door that this doesn't fit in. But I've become a big fan. It really does keep the ice cream hard without crystalizing it, and the "trough"-like shape makes scooping out perfect balls of ice cream really easy. The lid snaps on easily and stays in place securely. It comes off without a lot of effort when I'm ready to serve. I'm glad there are two as I've started making double batches of ice cream and stacking them. I don't know how they will last over time, but so far I've cycled about 10 batches through them and I'm really happy with them.

Sadly as much as I wanted to like this product, the lid is absolutely garbage, on both of them they won't seal tight and have a gap on one side (and yes I've tried the lid both ways). Will be returning if I can can and going back to the normal containers

I purely bought this because of other peoples reviews. This product does not disapoint. Had it in over night and no freezer burn. It even came to scoopable temp quicker. I was warry at the price, yet everybody ravs about it. Now I see why. I dont know about you but making your own ice cream you tend to get the healthiest and expensive ingredients. Its kind of a must to peotect what you made with these containers. Why buy a mercedes when you just park it in the street? This is like 2 rotweilers watching your ride in the garage lol. I will try out more of the sumo products. I thank other reviewers because otherwise I would have never bought this on my own.

Would recommend this product to anyone who makes a lot of their own ice cream. Watched a few YouTube videos which talk about how SUMO does not crack in the freezer unlike some of its better known competitors.
