“I bought it to put my ice cream in when i make homemade ice cream. it fits nice in the door of my freezer. I should have bought two though. I didn't realize i'd get so much ice cream out of such a little cream and milk. The only thing is that it is so well insulated that i have to keep the lid off for about an hour until it freezes well enough to cover or it does not get firm. I had to cover it with wrap until it freezes then put on the lid.“

not great at preventing freezer burn

I've had these SUMO ice cream containers for a few months now, and they haven't done much to prevent the freezer burn issue that I had before using Rubbermaid Food Storage containers (the ones with the easy-find lids). I figured the extra space taken up (due to the dual-wall design) would be worth it if it was effective to reduce or prevent the freezer burn, but it has not been my experience so far. Otherwise these are ok containers.

Lid is Awesome!

So, I haven't used this yet because it just came in the mail the day before yesterday and I haven't made any I e cream since then. I do like the fact that it arrived earlier than expected, but I really love the lid. This kid is really awesome! It's inset into the container intself, so it only sticks out where you open it and it has the smallest lip that won't be bumping into other containers in the freezer, which I like. I recommend this item and I will be buying more.
