Overall, I'm extremely impressed at how easy it is to fit numerous types of ice cream in my freezer with multiple of these jumbo ice cream containers. While you have enough room in here for a lot of homemade ice cream, the way it is a long container means that you can see all of the different varieties you have, while each of them is presumably reachable from the front of the container so that you can select from which flavor you want of the ones you've made.
What we've noticed is that this ice cream container is a whole lot better than the glass snap where containers we were using before. The lid is easy to remove and put back on, keeps the ice cream from getting crystallized, and the dual tub design keeps things insulated so that when I am pouring the ice cream into the tub initially, it stays a lot colder and melts a lot less on its way to the freezer.
The downsides to this container are that when you want to put it in the dishwasher, one of the containers has a colored lip that comes over the edge of the outer clear container, and that lip just does not go through the dishwasher very well. It retains dirty water unless you can somehow get it to stay perfectly upright, but our dishwasher doesn't have enough room for it to be perfectly upright, so this is become a piece that becomes hand washed, though the outer clear part and the lid go through the dishwasher just fine.
We also had a small issue with durability. My husband dropped the ice cream container on the floor, and unfortunately one end of the outer clear plastic part shattered. While certainly dropping items on the floor is not an approved use of this item, I would also expect that most plastic containers can get dropped on the floor without shattering. So that was disappointing.
Overall if your household is not too clumsy and doesn't mind handwashing things, this is a real upgrade in how well it keeps the ice cream at a stable temperature and is easy to do a nice long scoop with the rolling scooper.

Perfect size, very durable and I love the fact that (unlike my last ice cream container) it's insulated. Also, it was shipped quickly. No complaints.

This product seemed great at first. However, it is incredibly difficult to scoop the ice cream out because the surface area is so limited. It is also difficult to open the lid when cold. Lastly, the biggest disappointment of all, even after only hand washing a couple times I noticed condensation within the barrier of the container.

UPDATE: This container is 2-days beyond being eligible for return, my husband just handwashed it, and I’ve discovered it leaks. That is, the seal between the inner tub and the outer shell of the container is not a tight and soapy water accumulated between the inner tub and the outer shell. We’ve never even put it in the dishwasher, and an unreliable seal is entirely unacceptable. It could certainly cause problems with mold or other contamination. I’ve changed my review to 1 star—and I’d have given it zero stars if I could. Not recommended because the seal between the inner and outer container doesn’t hold up.
The thing I like best about this container is that it fits into the small space available in our very full freezer, yet, it holds an entire 1.5 quart recipe of ice cream, which is what we like to make. We use recipes for churnless (that is, no ice cream machine required) ice cream and the SUMO container keeps the ice cream perfectly. Churnless ice cream tends to be quite dense and I particularly like the shape of this container because the length makes scooping out solidly frozen ice cream easier. Although this container is dishwasher safe, it’s so easy to clean that it only takes a moment to wash it out by hand. Definitely recommended!
