Allows Gelato to set quickly and evenly. Fits side-by-side freezer perfectly. Gelato kept perfectly in the freezer 4 days - - Gelato is NEVER going to be in my freezer longer than 4 days! Hand washing is quick and easy. The oblong design makes for efficient storage and scooping.

I love this container. It is perfect. I will, however, have to disagree with those commenters who said the ice cream is softer in the container, bc I am NOT experiencing that. The ice cream STILL needs to be left in the fridge for a bit before it's scoopable, and I make mine meticulously with a candy thermometer. It doesn't take away from the quality of the SUMO, and I am ordering another!

We are happy to have these (we got two). They hold 1.5 quarts each which matches our ice cream maker’s output. They are easy to open and can store in freezer door.
