I bought one of these tubs along with a new ice cream maker, then quickly bought 2 more. They are very good tubs so far, seem durable and are easy to use. They are perfect for a batch of ice cream from my 1.5 Q capacity Cuisinart ICE-100 maker. The volume varies a bit by batch, the containers will hold all the ice cream from a 4 cup recipe when allowing for expansion during mixing.
The lid fits securely and includes a lip for easy removal plus a notch in the container for your finger. The rubber ring on the bottom is a great feature as it prevents the tub from sliding around when scooping. The inner and out parts of the tub separate with a little effort to aid in cleaning or if you get some water in there from the dishwasher. Separating the halves takes a little effort but is not hard. The best way to use this tub is to put it in the freezer to cool when you start your batch of ice cream. That way it will be cold and ready to go when the batch is done and it won't melt in a warm tub, which makes for an icy batch.
