“I bought it to put my ice cream in when i make homemade ice cream. it fits nice in the door of my freezer. I should have bought two though. I didn't realize i'd get so much ice cream out of such a little cream and milk. The only thing is that it is so well insulated that i have to keep the lid off for about an hour until it freezes well enough to cover or it does not get firm. I had to cover it with wrap until it freezes then put on the lid.“

Great for homemade ice cream! Kept ice cream fresh and easy to scoop out. Bought four containers. Love the colors!

Lids are not interchangeable among pink and blue (at least)

After purchasing one pink container as a test, in May, we proceeded to buy a pair of blue in July. We've discovered that lid for the pink container is longer than the lids for the blue containers. Of course, all the lids are white, so you can only discover this by trying them on. I suppose we'll be marking up the lids with something to make sure we pick out the right mates from the cabinet. I don't think this is what the designers intended, however. (Lack of) Quality control strikes again!

The video shows how the blue lid slides without good seal on the pink container. Images included with this review show that the length difference is just millimetres (final pic) but that is enough to make the lid for the pink not even close on the blue containers (first pic). The middle pictures shows lids properly matched for good fit.

Do you enjoy sorting practically identical lids? If not, then assuming the lid sizes correlate with colors for the rest of the set, then you are probably fine if you only buy one or stick with one color purchased at the same time.

When lids are properly matched to the container, they work as expected. Worth noting that, as a side effect of the excellent insulation properties, you'll have to wait longer for homemade ice cream to set up hard in the freezer.

does not close well

The lid just sits on top of the tub. You cannot close it tight and so the ice cream I made became rock hard in the freezer. Would not recommend this product although it looked cute.

Perfect!

I absolutely love these containers! The slim design makes scooping out ice cream a breeze!
